A computer-science professor from Carnegie Mellon University, Randy died Friday at age 47 of pancreatic cancer.

If your software design, requirements diagram/document, or project plan has become too complicated, consider what items can be removed.  What can you take out and still achieve the fundamental purpose of your product or project?  What are the essentials you need to meet to deliver your solution?  You may want to get customer/stakeholder feedback on your 1.0 version before you start adding those nice-to-have features.
